In the gospel of Luke 24 we find the story of the Resurrection. Luke 24:1-12 we find the women going to properly prepare the body of Jesus for burial. They could not do it on Friday and here it is the third day, Sunday and they are going to prepare His body properly with spices and oils. When they arrived at the tomb, the stone had been rolled away, and they were perplexed, but looked in and finally entered the tomb. The body was gone, and suddenly there were 2 men in shining white garments, they were frightened, then the men said to them: “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” The women then remembered all that had been told them, they returned to the upper room and told the apostles and disciples all that had happened.

What a story this is – a story of life and a story of hope. In a world that was in need of that hope, God delivered himself that man might be reconciled to God and have that eternal life. This event changed the world, within 300 years the entire known world had become Christian, and had changed to a different type of living. Today, again we find ourselves in need of hope, and we look for a savior, but He has already come, one day will come again, in the meantime, think about what it would mean to follow this man Jesus, a man who is the personification of the God head. Awesome story, and it continues. Stay tuned for more installments.
